It adheres to the original design philosophy of SRB2. Multiple paths, different characters accounted for, flows surprisingly well while not sacrificing level design for it. The level design is immaculate.
Aesthetics are largely vanilla, however the way said assets are used is arguably as brilliant as the main campaign of SRB2. Impressive. The theming of each level is reminiscent of vanilla but more, something that is welcome for the vanilla campaign enjoyers who want more of the experience they know & love.
The only personal blemish is Egg Colosseum being at Zone 1. If I'm being honest, though, this may be more of a skill issue than anything else. It is harder than vanilla for sure, but if one can beat it, they''ll be more than qualified to handle the rest save for Brak itself.
In summary, I feel this is a map pack that succeeds at what it was intended to be.
Honestly, this is such a improvement and is the first I played that felt like an 2.2 mod campaign experience! The level design is great, a surprise boss appearance and the environment is beautiful! The only thing is the final zone is just the final boss and it ends too soon. I know it's on the shorter mod but I wanted to see how the final zone would of looked as an full zone!
Anyway, awesome mod and looking for future versions if there are any!
The level pack was fun to play. It's on the shorter side of a level pack, but it's good so far for what it is! The only real complaint is the final zone is a bit lacking and I found an asteroid that didn't have a gravity effect. Looking forward to 2.0!
