You know how some levels from stuff like the OLDC/ULDC and stages outside of those two things have little segments where there's image and some text?
If those got added into the vanilla campaign, what would you imagine them to be like? Maybe those akin to the ones that SSN Tails had for the TGF version of SRB2 for a change? Or something like... what was it... was it the Sugoi or Subarashii map pack(?) back in the 2.1 days that had it where there were individual "levels" solely for cutscenes?
What would you imagine them to be like if they were added in the future?

It feels unnecessary to me imo, especially knowing that SRB2 is actually Classic Sonic fan game, therefore, there are usually very few cutscenes in such games (S3&K for example), which is for the better, because Classic Sonic is usually designed for cleaner gameplay.

To be honest, it would be better to make level transitions so that the end of the previous level is the beginning of the next one. Well, accordingly, after defeating the boss, at least some way out to the next zone, as they did in the battle with Metal Sonic.

Yeah I think cutscenes in the style of Sonic 3 & Knuckles would probably be for the base game. Mods can do whatever they bloody well feel like if they want to do something different like the SUGOI Trilogy as an example of different.
