Gemerl

You (and the rest of people here) need to learn that a credit is enough. You don't need to go extra mile to use someone else's assets. Because in the end of the day, we are all just doing for fun, as a hobby.

Again, the main problem is that he doesn't do that and claim as his, going as far as profiting around these mods which is a big no-no. All for the sake of trolling or bring retarded enough to be genuine.
I knew that already. I just said it's nice to have more.

I found this sprite of Gemerl I will ask SONIcsez1234 if I can used this sprites.

you need to ask permission for some stuff though (like some spritesheets on TSR)

(like some spritesheets on TSR)
If you mean the sheets posted here, the one who got ripped straight out of the game by Sonicdash, they aren't custom made or edited by said TSR poster. Asking the ripper to use some of the sprites he, well, ripped without Sega's consent, and didn't made said sprite himself is comedic.

whattt how is addon patches theft???
Some of them say something like "since the modified file is on the player's disk, it's still stealing." It seems to me that if we do patching directly in the SRB2 game client, they will say something like "since the modified file is in the computer's RAM, it's still stealing." There may be no end to this rabbit hole of "theft" deconstruction. It's enough to even look at this thread to see how the meaning of the word "theft" has changed here and be shocked by what you see.

While it may be frouned upon, "patching" an already existing mod to give it new or extra properties, technically its not stealing nor modifying, as youre not touching the original file, youre just loading a separated file AFTER you load the thing you wanna patch, to override specific data, thus, it cant be classified as "Theft", althought its still is morally questionable.

We are talking about different types of "patching". I am talking about patching similar to bps or ips patching, which is usually used to bypass copyright in the case of romhacks (and the Shadow+ patch literally uses this technology + archivers). At the moment, this creates a patched file and it is stored on the player's computer. Although it is technically possible to implement these algorithms in the SRB2 client itself, then the file will be created inside the game's RAM.

I feel like this thread is some retroactive bullshit and we all know it. LET THIS THREAD DIE PLS

just realized something. ts aint even in the WIP thread.

Guys gues what Jesus.B is return to MB but how? Me to I want to be unbanned from MB to post my future mods.

he sent an appeal to the moderators, you can do that too.
thought theres an issue, if they reject it once, youre done, you cant appeal anymore. System is so unfair and strict even while you're trying to appeal a ban, even if the ban reason was for the dumbest thing ever, that would had normally only landed with a few warnings instead.

If not, why do you think im basically "exilliated" off from everywhere? if it were for me i would had be already unbanned because i sent several appeals everywhere, both MB and MS a long time ago.
