If you want to see more information about this mod, just click on this Link here, because that's where I'll be posting updates and other info about the mod. As of now, this mod is still a work in progress, so some things won't work perfectly with Mario yet.

And the credit goes to this guy who created this mod. Because what...

This is tuff
(Also moved addon to BSS since there's no someone else's content used at all)

This is really cool! Here's a couple things I noticed:
  1. Certain larger maps have areas in them where objects don't interact with Mario anymore. The beginning of Arial Garden is a good example
  2. Mario is way too small. He should optimally a bit taller than Vanilla Sonic's sprite, not the same height as the default player hitbox. Making him larger would also allow him to clear more levels, as it would buff his movement speed and jump height indirectly if done right (you shouldn't have to modify those values if you scale him up)
  3. Mario isn't affected by sectors that move up and down. This causes him to stand in the air after pressing a button, for example.
  4. If at all possible, you should probably remove the music that plays during the wing cap and metal cap, or at least mute the level music during this
  5. This is kinda more of a request, but it'd be nice to have the ability to put mario into the shell surfing state with tossflag
  6. When collecting a Fire Flower, Mario has no way of throwing fire balls
  7. Question Blocks in Pipe Towers and other Mario Mode levels can't be interacted with
  8. Since this is listed as Reusable, it'd be nice to have access to a github page so that people can make changes to the build if they want

I had completely forgotten that I'd posted my mod here, because it took a LONG time to finally appear on the site, it was going through some kind of verification process or something, I don't really remember. So I ended up completely forgetting to update the mod here, but I did post a few minor updates on Gamebanana. But I haven't fixed the issues you mentioned yet because I'm busy with other things, and I don't really have much time to spend fixing problems with this mod, so I ended up completely forgetting it existed since I've been kind of busy with other things...

can addons affect mario? (like XMomentum or OCMaker)

I don't know :P
But if it's something like this, I think it'll work just fine

I don't think it's a good idea to make Mario a little taller, because even though he's kind of short, he can't fit under some places. So if I made him a little taller, that might make it impossible for Mario to get through some places.

Maybe I'll try to port it to Android, but it's quite likely that I'll give up on trying to do that

WAIT what if you tried making a version of the 2.2.15 mobile port that fixes all those weird issues (like the HUD being all over the place)

There's a guy who's already made an Android port of 2.2.15
It's not perfect, but it actually works pretty well, with just a few minor bugs.
Here's the link

FINALLY!!!!!!!!
legit N64 Mario actually that wasnt just SM64 Mario as it was abranging all N64 Mario games except for Paper Mario, that includes Mario Kart and Mario Party

MATTop698 updated SM64 in SRB2!! (WIP) with a new update entry:

2-Now Mario takes damage from “MF_MISSILE,” which means that Mario takes damage from objects or things that enemies and bosses throw at the player.

If you're talking about the shell, I haven't added a command to enable or disable that, but I can add it in the next update if you'd like :P

yea i was, you can add it if you want to ;)

These new fixes are really cool! I have a couple other bugs to report
  1. Diagonal Springs don't seem to send Mario flying at the correct height. This makes some levels impossible
  2. Mario can't break bustable FOFs, and even if he could, a broken wall for example retains it's collision from before it was broken.
  3. Mario can walk through Spikes and impassable linedefs
  4. Mario is unaffected by anything that scales the player up and down, including sectors and commands
  5. Mario is unaffected by the steam burst objects from Techno Hill Zone
  6. Mario treats Techno Hill Zone Goop the same way he does water\
  7. Metal Mario takes damage from lava
Also, It'd be nice to have a command that toggles the wing cap and metal cap music, and a command that can toggle the "special triple jump" that's unlocked from collecting all 120 stars and talking to Yoshi in the base game.

I never imagined anyone would want that useless jump in SM64, but okay, I'll try to add it in the next update
