you could also do that with 1 player and have actual games for outcome memories matches and you can use the players you unlocked during those matches, similar to normal srb2 where you can fight off fang and get fang or fight metal sonic and after beating him you get metal sonic as a playable character

I can give him a double jump and a jetpack boost, they're pretty easy to do
