What happened to NewEngine?

there hasn't been a post on the main thread for months so what happened to it? is it still being worked on or is it dead?
 
The custom srb2WS engine is still being worked on as said on the Discord Server, but since its only one person, naturally ill take a long time.

man i wish i could use discord to see the progress but i dont wanna get hacked

You can't get hacked for simply creating an account.

You only get hacked if you click dodgy links within Discord (links you don't trust), or put your password on a fake dummy Discord Login Page (always check the url).

What CAN and WILL happen, if you do everything correctly from the official web/app, is you getting banned off Discord if you're found to be under 13 years of age.

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OLD TO USE DISCORD.

i saw a video about a thing going on where your friends get hacked and then they try to bait you into installing a malware thing.
there was also that one hack where many peoples ids and stuff got leaked (but i think i might be misremembering that)

if you install the official app from the iOS/Android app store, or use the official web page on your browser, nothing will happen.

Then again, you can only get hacked if you open third party links, from people within discord who create links to hack you by sending suspicious links; aka, scammers, etc.
But the official Platform itself is completely safe. (why wouldnt it?)

But do also remember, if you're under 13, you're absolutely getting banned as soon as you're discovered under the valid minimum age for signing up on discord.

Oh we're working on it.

There is a LOT of technology and preparation that goes into it.

One thing that's taking so long is - we nearly finished solving the Rendering Equation.

If anyone understands the Rendering Equation and Global Illumination, you could help us finish faster :P

(This *and* physics are probably one of the most difficult things to solve)

PS: If anyone has a Mac and wants to test the Engine, let us know
