How do I make a mod require another mod?

I want my mod to have the Adventure Sonic moveset and colors, but, I want to make it to where you have to download Adventure Sonic and support MetalWario64's mod, rather than just steal his mod and add my own sprites and call it a day and leave. I doubt that MetalWario64 would let me basically re-upload Adventure Sonic but with different sprites, as less people would go to his mod if they somehow like my sprites better (I highly doubt that anyone would lol)

i dont think thats possible, but there is this similar new lua hook that was made in 2.2.15 called AddonLoaded, as far as i've seen its some type of addon support thingy, im unsure how it works tho due to my PC not running 2.2.15 for some reason
