If I had to remake the Egg rock Zone 2, it wouldn't be near impossible. I'd replace some zero oxygen environments with a "weapons testing area." They'd be a timed survival thing, outlast a turret or a lock on canon barrage.
if i made srb2 i would make ugly knuckles a boss fight
Phase 1: he will not attack and its one shot
phase 2: this where the real fight starts he starts throwing out bombs then climb on one of the walls and do a dive bomb he will block and punch sometimes
phase 3: this where things get hard he will use multi-glide and when you are caught ugly knuckles stomps at the spot that you are in
how to unlock him: Get the 7 chaos emeralds type UGLY in the title screen you will hear a distorted ring sound
when you said about merging Egg Rock and Black Core back together did you mean by making Black Core 1 and 2 be merged and Black Core 3 not being merged but renamed to Egg Rock Core and the Black Core 1 and 2 merged be renamed to Egg Rock 3 right?
Revert the Ringslinger changes to match the 2.1 gameplay mechanics (removing super form and the inability to shoot without rings were honestly not good changes)
Bring back the 2.1 Ringslinger maps that were removed in 2.2
Restore the Race maps from 2.0 and add new ones
Remove some of the oversized Ringslinger maps from Match and Team Match; make them available only in Tag and Hide and Seek
Adjust the size of certain CTF maps, like Lime Forest, and bring back the old Silver Cascade map, since the new one feels more like a BattleMod map with weapon panels and pits
Port the Thokker gametype to vanilla because I enjoy playing soccer in SRB2
Add an option in multiplayer to save and view your favorite servers in the server list, similar to how it's done in Minecraft
Create new extra levels like Dark City Zone and remake Aerial Garden Zone
