if you mean a Mario character as a whole, the Mario from the Mario and Luigi char pack is literally based off the Mario from Mario64

I know, ive tryd that mod before.
I just want to make a "version" of the mod using the beta model form the sm64 beta[/B3313]
And yes. I do mean him as a whole dude to play as.

So what you want is the 3D model, not the actual skin, as it already exist as i said before.

Im not really sure if that one even had an available 3D model, never really used it besides of one time where i simply tested it out outta curoiosity, while i was waiting for other people to beat the map in a server i was playing, and that PC didnt had OpenGL precisely.

Neither was i a fan of Mario anyways, so i never used it more than that single time, but considering how popular it was by that time, it probably does have a model somewhere

Oh, Ok.
Sooo, are you saying that this task would be a lot to do?
if not, sorry for missinterprating your post.

Then again, the playable character itself already exist, and its the Mario from the Mario & Luigi character pack, which has the same moveset as the original M64 Mario, with the buttstomp, the BLJ, and all that gist.

But what i dont know if it has a 3D Model, which i believe its what youre looking for, as it appears it doesnt have one natively on its own. (Which i dont blame the devs for.. i dont know how to model either, so my OC, which i reccomend you checking out lol, is stuck with Sprites)

If it DOES have one, it might take some time to look for any possible 3D models that might be usable on Srb2 (MD5 files)

Mmm, i see. So if i want it to be a 3d model, i'll have to look for one online and port it in.
[taking lots of time in the prosess]. darn..

Well, its either finding the model, or creating one yourself, sadly

Or, if you have the money, you can commision someone to do a Lowpoly 3D model of a Modern Mario, the classic more adult one we know today

Ah, Welp I guess it's off to a 3d modeling site.

hey, look what i found!!

Well hey, congrats, have you made sure its an MD5 file, and its also fully compatible with Srb2 when asigning the model file to the specific skin?

Well, thats how Srb2 models are structured, they have 2 Png files for the textures, one gray scaled and the regular one with the usual green skin color to allow Srb2 remap the color, and a third file which its the model itself.

IF the model itself at least is an "MD5" file, (the extension name), then it might probably be compatible, or have a similar format to something Srb2 understands and translates into a 3D model you can use

Its only a matter of:

- Simply dragging the 3 files i mentioned into the "PLAY" folder in the Models folder on your Srb2 main directory, where you have all of the game stuff.

- Check the "models.dat" files to see how to assign a model to a specific skin (and if not, look for a tutorial how to write it down, its a plain text file).

- Boot up the game to check if the model is actually compatible and displays correctly.

If the model isnt compatible or displays incorrectly when selecting the character, you simply have to keep looking for other models. You would only have to do half of the job, simply renaming the files themselves to the skin name in the "models.dat" file, if they came with a different name

also... I dont think i havve the right model.
It doesnt seem to have any of the thingys you said.

well the one i have has no MD5 in sight, and almost everything else is PNG files.
Soooooooooooo, ya
