    Also, may I contribute to the project? I know a BIT of SRB2 programming so I can tweak and suggest balance changes to certain characters/moves.

    I have an idea, it could be just an exe racing you with a limit to your timer, kind of like Mario Galaxy's Cosmic Clone thing.
