I believe it's just because both of the dev teams are friends and I believe some of them work on both the projects aswell.

Doom shadow should release earlier seeing as his moveset it a lot less expansive than frontiers sonic's moveset due to his lack of combat.

This is genuinely one of the coolest mods I've ever seen. Ever since SXSG released I've crowned the Doom Shadow moveset as my favorite sonic moveset ever, and I'm honestly really excited to see this be recreated in the actual game. Good work guys!!
