I'm pretty sure that someone is making a What-if map pack revolving sonic generations. it's basically a what-if SRB2 was a modern sonic fan game instead of a classic sonic fan game. It features Sonic generations level design, but the levels are all modern styled classic SRB2 levels.

Also the official top-down port made by the same team luigibudd mentioned got canceled.

When stuff like this happens, I usually unconsciously forget about a lot of the mod (Like MSV6 for example) To avoid being fixated on the mod too much. Still excited for this mod, I wish all of my luck for you guys!

I love how he looks more in line with other SRB2 characters and SRB2 Styled mods. His old sprites looked more like modernized SSN Sprites.

Man, the SRB2 community is going through a big crisis. its going to take some time tbh for the whole situation to be fixed and the members of this community are doing more than the devs or admins of srb2 (which are doing jack shit mind you) Hope everyone can stay strong and pull through this hell.
