No problem, in fact I think it could work for Hyper Metal Sonic mode, which basically, like in OVA Sonic, gradually increases its speed after running for a certain amount of time.
 
For the first version, would you like the metal to walk directly when it walks, or simply float?

I can imagine some people will want to make a connection between these two (I don't know how I'll do it, but I'll try to make OVA Metal Sonic faster than OVA Sonic)
